Employees must complete online anti-discrimination training by May 31
Published: 2/15/2010

Texas Christian University is committed to providing each of us – faculty, staff, and students - an environment in which we may pursue our careers and studies free from discrimination.  To uphold this commitment, we are providing an opportunity for every employee to participate in two self-paced, online programs titled, “Preventing Employment Discrimination” and “Preventing Sexual Harassment.”

Sexual harassment and employment discrimination on the basis of race, sex, age, national origin, religion, disability, or other legally protected classification is a violation of TCU policy, as well as various federal and state laws. Together, as a learning community, we must seek to understand the full impact of discrimination and harassment and their nuances in order to recognize them and make necessary changes.

Please help maintain an environment that recognizes the worth and potential of every individual and communicates respect among all employees. The University offers these two programs, created by New Media Learning Corporation, as one tool to help us achieve our goal.  New Media Learning will report completion of the programs but not actual test scores.   All TCU employees are required to complete this training by May 31, 2010, and once every three years thereafter.   Human Resources staff will be responsible for notifying faculty and staff of their need to retest.  Newly-hired faculty and staff will be notified during orientation of the training requirement.
