Dr. Bennett, recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award, is a pioneer in the biotechnology industry. His work has appeared in more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and produced 19 U.S. patents. He has held top positions in a number of firms, including Genentech, where he helped guide the company's development from a startup with less than 300 employees to more than 10,000 today.
Receiving the Valuable Alumnus Award is Don Cram, long been counted among TCU's most involved alumni. He has served on the National Alumni Board, was president of the Fort Worth Chapter Board and chaired the Class of 1961 reunion, Frog Club Board, Committee of 100, Committee on the Future of TCU and a patron of the Clark Society.
Honorary Alumna Award goes to Megan Boschini, the University's First Lady, First Mom and the Face of the Frogs to many in Fort Worth. Each year, she warmly welcomes hundreds of TCU students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends to scores of events at the Chancellor's residence and attends more than her share of campus activities.
John H. Robinson will take home the Royal Purple Award for his contributions to both Fort Worth and TCU. As executive vice president, grant administration, of the Amon G. Carter Foundation, he serves as trustee and an officer of the Amon G. Carter Star-Telegram Employees Fund, president of the Boy Scout Foundation and executive committee member of the Conference of Southwest Foundations. He is a member of the AddRan College Board of Visitors.
Jaime Castaneda will be honored with the Outstanding Young Professional Award. He is an ensemble member of the American Theatre Company in Chicago and an associate member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers. He is the producing artistic director and founder of Fort Worth's FireStarter Productions, as well as the artistic leadership associate at the Atlantic Theater Company in New York City.
Lindsay C. Ray has been selected for the Distinguished Student Award. She will graduate in May with bachelor's degrees in business administration and arts, as 4.0 GPAs in both. She participates in Honors College and the Neeley Fellows program, has served as president of Student Foundation and Panhellenic Council and was a Clark Society Scholar.
