“Even though so many presses are closing or having difficulties, I am excited about the future of TCU Press," Dan says. "We are at a time of revolutionary changes not only in publishing, but also in reading and even in literacy. People — especially young people — are reading differently, and they are reading different kinds of texts. Any number of remarkable innovations are taking place within the publishing world, and such change offers TCU Press an opportunity to move forward into the new electronic age."
Dan notes that he is especially grateful to Chancellor Boschini, Provost Donovan, and Dean Koelker for supporting TCU Press at a time when there are so many challenges facing small academic presses. "At its most basic level, TCU Press contributes significantly to the University core mission in discovering, developing, and disseminating knowledge," he states.
