The first day of school for the Fort Worth Independent School District is traditionally celebrated by all campuses with open houses for parents and guardians.  FWISD has asked area businesses to support activities planned for this year's first date, August 22, 2011.

 

TCU has authorized two hours of flex-time for employees to participate in the first day of school in FWISD or any other school district where their children are enrolled.  Please be sure to coordinate this time off request with your supervisor.  Staff may request to adjust their schedules, use personal leave, or take vacation for this time.
