Performance psychologist will be here for coaching workshops Sept. 21-23

Dr. Bill Moore helps musicians, athletes and business professionals learn to perform at optimal levels under competitive stress.

The School of Music will host Dr. Bill Moore,  performance psychology specialist,  Sept. 21-23.    In addition to workshops for faculty and students,  Dr. Moore will present a free public lecture “Performing Your Best When It Counts.”

Dr. Moore, president of Moore Performance Consulting, helps musicians, athletes and business professionals learn to perform at optimal levels under competitive stress.   He approaches performance as a mental performance skill and explores the topics of courage, trust, and acceptance.  He serves as Director of Performance Psychology for the University of Oklahoma Athletics Department, specifically working with the golf team.  In the OU School of Music, he also teaches Performance Psychology for Musicians, one of the most sought after courses for performers in the School of Music to enroll.
