Alpha Omicron Pi was selected for invitation to campus based on the five qualifying factors: a positive experience through constructive new member programming, extensive leadership development of all members, financial stability, alumni and advisory support and the relationship between the colony and the national organization.
Last fall, more than 800 women participated in sorority recruitment, which resulted in an average of 68 women per membership class and 186 per chapter. Alpha Omicron Pi, which has demonstrated itself as sharing the same mission and values as TCU will provide another membership opportunity for TCU women.
“It is the desire of Panhellenic sororities to reduce the number of new members and the average chapter size to something that is more manageable and is reflective of the TCU personal experience,” said Shannon Sumerlin.
