Need help locating childcare for summer?
Published: 4/9/2012

Pondering your childcare options for summer? Don’t overlook our campus resource, Camp Fire USA’s Child Care Network.

They note that summer care options are not a “one size fits all” decision. There are many options to consider: summer school-age childcare program, day camp, overnight camp and specialty camps.

Specialty camps are designed to meet a child’s or family’s unique needs (examples include faith-based, special needs, academic, sports and more). Overnight camps are typically for kids seven and older. Kids stay one, two or four weeks. Day camps are typically for kids five and older and offer various activities during daytime hours.

Contact the Child Care Network at CCRR@CampFireFW.org or 817-831-5060.  Let them know what type of programs you need, age of child, location and they will take care of searching for a program and contacting them to locate openings. You will receive a profile on potential programs within two business days of your request.

Camp Fire also mentors some programs in the community and, in turn, they offer discounts to TCU employees.
