The annual Boller Symposium on the American Presidency will is being held today and tomorrow, with various speakers and programs scheduled. The keynote address will be given by William H. Chafe at 7 p.m. tonight in Palko Hall, rm.  130. His lecture, titled “Bill and Hillary: The Politics of the Personal,” is free and open to the public.

From 10-11:30 a.m. today, there are two speakers in Scharbauer Hall, rm. 4015. David Nichols of Southwestern College will discuss “A Matter of Justice: Dwight D. Eisenhower and Civil Rights” and Michael Birkner of Gettysburg College will talk on “Halfway to the Promised Land: Fred Morrow and Eisenhower Era Civil Rights.”

From 1 – 2:30 p.m. programs will be in the Kelly Center, Cox A. TCU’s Amanda Bresie will speak on “Old Habits and the New Deal: The Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament and the Pursuit of Civil Rights during Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Administration” and Todd Moye of UNT will discuss “Franklin D. Roosevelt and the Politics of Civil Rights during World War II.”
