When child care needs arise ...
Published: 3/4/2013

The TCU Child Care Network, formed in partnership with Camp Fire USA First Texas Council in 2010, provides TCU employees with a resource and referral program for child care, school-age care, and family services.

The service acts as a child care advocate for employees, providing referrals for the types of child and school-age care needs specific to each employee request such as availability, price, quality, and location.  If a TCU employee utilizes a center within the Child Care Network, the employee can receive a discount off tuition to that particular child care program (which could likely save an employee upwards of $1,000/year).

Other benefits include getting moved to the front of a wait-list, should one exist.  They also provide us with educational tip sheets on parenting, child development and more. These tip sheets are displayed on the HR website. In addition, they provide four to six “lunch and learns” each year through HR training on topics such as bullying, child safety, or summer camp information for parents.

To access the Child Care Network program for your after school care needs, child care or community resources relating to youth and children  call 817-831-5060.
 Once you’ve phoned CCN:
  •     Identify yourself as a TCU employee
  •     Discuss your needs and work them to identify providers who can meet your child care needs. This includes infants through Pre-K and school age (5-12 years) children.
  •     You will receive matches based on your criteria for care.
  •     You may call Camp Fire’s Child Care Resource & Referral specialist as many times as needed.
