“Between A Hard Place,” an exhibition of five new video works by New York artist Kate Gilmore is at Fort Worth Contemporary Arts now through Dec. 14. Her videos and performances involve carefully-crafted constructions that, through a series of physical challenges and self-imposed obstacles, are demolished or made to self-destruct.

Gilmore’s work is in the permanent collections of Museum of Modern Art in New York, Whitney Museum of American Art, Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, among many others. Two of Gilmore’s videos were included in FWCA’s “under the table” exhibition last fall.
