Green Chair for Philosophy


Dr. Michael Tooley will be on campus Feb. 24-26 as Green Honors Chair Professor for the Dept. of Philosophy.

 

 

He will deliver a lecture titled “The Moral Status of Abortion: Some Unsound Arguments” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25 in Palko Hall.

 

 

Professor Tooley will deliver a second lecture, titled “Does God Exist? The Evidential Argument from Evil,” on Friday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. in Palko Hall.  Both events are free and open to the public.

 

 

Professor Tooley received his Ph.D. degree from Princeton University in 1968. He is currently a distinguished professor of arts and sciences at the University of Colorado, where he teaches philosophy.  He serves as president of the Australian Association of Philosophy and is a fellow of the Australian Academy of Humanities.
