The College of Communication and FTDM Dept. will present a Leaders in Media Conference: Reality Summit from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8 at the Bass Conference Center. Chairing the event is Elaine Frontain Bryant, senior vice president of non-fiction programming at the A&E Network. TCU students will be admitted free, but registration in advance is mandatory. Goal of this conference is to allow TCU students and members of the local community to learn and engage with experts in the film, television and digital media industry. The theme will change annually in accordance with current trends in the film and television industry. Bryant will be the keynote speaker at the opening breakfast. Participating panelists include:

•    Bryant, who is responsible for all reality development at A&E. She has shepherded hits like Storage Wars, Shipping Wars, Paranormal State and Duck Dynasty.

•    Mary Donahue, vice president of development and programming at The History Channel, who is responsible for such megahits as Pawn Stars and Swamp People.

•    Dolph Scott, a prolific producer, who has produced such shows as Deadliest Catch and Ice Road Truckers. He is co-executive producer of megahits Storage Wars and Storage Wars NY.

•    Sean Zeid is the co-head of the Alternative Department at the Kaplan Stahler Agency in Beverly Hills, Calif. His clients have created or executive produced a variety of popular shows such as The Biggest Loser, Secret Millionaire, Sons of Guns, Ink Master and Dead Files.
