Honors College adds Jones, Middleton to faculty


Two TCU faculty members have received three-year appointments as Honors Faculty Fellows in John V. Roach Honors College. They are Beata Jones (Neeley School of Business) and Darren Middleton (Dept. of Religion).

 

A native of Warsaw, Poland, Beata Jones is the director of Neeley Honors at TCU and a professor of Professional Practice in Business Information Systems. She joined TCU in 1995 and served as director of the Neeley Fellows Program between 2005 and 2012.

 

Dr. Jones is a summa cum laude graduate from Baruch College with a B.B.A. in Computer Information Systems and M.S. in Operations Research.  She earned her Ph. D. in Computer Science from the City University of New York Graduate Center. Her areas of expertise include technology-supported education, eBusiness, collaborative systems, creativity in information systems and honors education.

 

A native of Nottingham, England, Darren Middleton is a professor of Religion in AddRan College of Liberal Arts (since 1998), with special interest in literature, film, music, and religion. He holds degrees from the universities of Manchester, Oxford, and Glasgow, U.K. He has published eight books and a ninth, "Rastafari and the Arts: An Introduction," is scheduled to appear through Routledge in 2014.
