The TCU School of Art will host hundreds of guests this week as the National Art Education Association comes to town for their 53rd annual conference. More than 4,000 are expected to attend the annual meeting, many of whom will be on campus for art-making workshops led by our faculty.
They include Nick Bontrager,
Chris Powell, Jonathan Stewart and Amanda Allison whose sessions will be
Wednesday afternoon in the Moudy Bldg. N. Amanda is serving on the local
planning committee for the conference.
Our art faculty will also be
keynote speakers for the Texas Artist Series portion of the conference.
Participating are Luther Smith, Cam
Schoepp and Terri Thornton. In addition, Amanda will make a presentation on a recently published
book chapter about art educators who have initiated social changes in the
classroom.
