There's a change of format for this year's event. Instead of an address by the Chancellor Victor J. Boschini Jr., there will be a panel discussion between faculty, staff and students which he will moderate. Panelists include Roseangela Boyd, Phil Hartman, Linda Hughes, Rhonda Keen, Mike Marshall, Sue McClellan, Austin Minor, Vanessa Norris and Greg Stephens.
Nominees for the Chancellor’s Award are John T. Harvey (Economics), Karen M. Steele (English), Paul Witt (Communication Studies), Mary A. Stanford (Accounting), David R. Cross (Psychology), Jesús Castro-Balbi (School of Music), Suzanne Lockwood (Nursing) and Russell W. Dalton (Brite).
Nominees for the Wassenich Award include John Mark Day (Student Development Services), Brad Thompson (Student Activities), Eric Cox (Political Science), Alan Shorter (Theatre) and Christopher Watts (Communication Sciences & Disorders).
Immediately following Convocation, TCU’s annual campuswide Founders’ Celebration will be held on the lawn by The Clark Brothers statue. This will be a time for the entire campus community to come together in an informal setting and celebrate the history of TCU and our founders, Addison and Randolph Clark.
